Bürgerhaus Olpe

Construction of the new community center in Olpe

The district town of Olpe is planning to build a new community center on the site of the former train station in the town centre. This modern building will serve as a multifunctional center and house various facilities. These include the town hall as the administrative headquarters with around 100 employees, the town library, a museum and spacious public areas that are available to citizens.

The design of the new building integrates elements of the historical surroundings and creates a new town square. The structure is based on the original course of the railroad tracks and nestles up to the existing building of the old station in the southern section. This design creates a new urban edge along the Bigge.
